Anneli Marian Drecker (born 12 February 1969) is a Norwegian singer and actor from the city of Tromsø. She is the vocalist in the track Sparks by Röyksopp, appearing on the album Melody A.M. She is also the vocalist for Bel Canto. She appeared with countrymen a-ha on their Minor Earth, Major Sky Tour and appeared on the live DVD Live from Vallhall and the following album from their European Tour, How Can I Sleep With Your Voice In My Head. In 2003 she was a jury-member in the Norwegian version of Pop Idol. She has been the lead singer of the Norwegian alternative pop band Bel Canto from the start in 1985 at the age of only 16 and to date, as Bel Canto has never officially disbanded despite the band not being active for a few years. In the fall of 2006 Bel Canto celebrated the 20 years since the first album with several concerts and Bel Canto is rumoured to be working on yet another album.So far they have released six albums with releases all over the world. Anneli Drecker has also worked with various world pop music personalities like Jah Wobble and Hector Zazou. She has released two solo albums on Emi Norway, Tundra in 2000 and Frolic in 2005. She has also traveled to and collaborated with musicians from Israel, Palestina, Brasil, Egypt and Tanzania, for peace projects.
